MAR 6, 2012 - Creating a dynamic OR statement with Linq to Entities
Ever wanted or needed to create a dymanic multi OR statement using Linq to Entities? I needed to, and could not find a good working sample, so I decided to create one myself. You can find out how I did it here, and also download the sample.
APR 20, 2011 - Working and Working...
It has been a while since I have added content to Booden.net. I have been quite busy working on SharePoint 2010 projects, so I didn't give myself much time to add new content. I did a little bit of blogging, Creating an asynchronous webpart and Custom Styles for all SharePoint 2010 Rich Html Fields, and finally also did another Psychology exam. Still a lot to do, like more Microsoft exams and keeping up with my studies.

NOV 27, 2010 - SPSite and SPWeb Dispose revisited
Recently I have been asked to solve some issues with a SharePoint 2007 application. One of the first things I did was running SPDisposeCheck on the custom code. I have added my findings on my To Dispose or not to Dispose? article, you can navigate to this recent addition directly here.

OKT 31, 2010 - 10 Year Anniversary of Booden.net Today
Today is the 10 year anniversary of Booden.net. Wow, I can still remember the time that I started with Booden.net and it doesn't feel like 10 years ago. The goal for the next ten years is to update the site more regularly and to add quality content.
OKT 31, 2010 - Love that spinach, a small recipe for tasty spinach
As it is the 10 year anniversary of Booden.net, I wanted to add some content people might like. I didn't have time to go wild on this, so just a little recipe for cooking tasty spinach:

Wash your fresh spinach and let it drain. Put about 3 table spoons of Extra-virgin Olive Oil in the frying pan. Heat the oil, add some of the spinach and stir. As the spinach shrinks down, add some more. If your half way adding the spinach, add salt and pepper. Keep stirring the spinach regularly and keep adding the spinach. If all the spinach is in the frying pan, cook until it is all shrunk down. Drain the excess water that the spinach released and you are ready to plate. Cooking will take approximately 10 minutes, but time will vary with quantity and heat applied.
OKT 14, 2010 - To Dispose or not to Dispose? That is the question.
Having just read a new book about SharePoint 2010, I started thinking about the code samples used, and the best practices discussed in the book. It got me thinking about the to Dispose or not to Dispose question, when dealing with SPSite and SPWeb objects. You can find my thoughts about this here.
SEP 26, 2010 - Coming up... Booden.net 10 year anniversary
As of 10/31/2010 Booden.net will be registered for 10 years. I am thinking of ways to celebrate this. Probably you will find new content on this site soon.
SEP 14, 2010 - The Dutch Society Against Quackery
Today I have applied for membership of The Dutch Society Against Quackery. I really think it's a great quest to get quackery out of the world. They have an English article A Brief History of the ‘Vereniging tegen de Kwakzalverij’ at their site. If you are interested in these kind of things, The Skeptics Society (also see TED Talk) and a TED talk by James Randi are very interesting.
AUG 27, 2010 - NetTicTacToe included in the Softpedia Mac OS software database
Today I have received an e-mail from the Softpedia Mac OS Team. They have added NetTicTacToe or more accurately JavaNetTicTacToe to their database with a "100% CLEAN" award. Thank you Softpedia Team for taking this effort. You can find JavaNetTicTacToe and other versions here.
NOV 16, 2009 - Cleaning HTML in a content editor with javascript
If you want to be free of dirty HTML in your content editor when pasting from for example Word, then this script could be for you. It is I think quite intuitive and easy to read. It does however use recursive function calls. You can find the ContentCleaner here.
SEP 3, 2009 - Added a new recipe: Pasta (vegetarian)
Now I have added a new recipe for vegetarian pasta. This recipe is more about the pasta sauce. I think it's really tasty and I now don't want to use ready made pasta sauce anymore, so be warned. You can find the recipe here.
SEP 2, 2009 - New Booden.net site launched
